HOW TO CITE
City of Calgary Open Data, 2026 detached assessment records; original aggregation
and charts by Alex Pidann / AlexPidann.com, checked October 8, 2026. Link to the
citation page and original City source. Retain the source, dates, units and
limitations when reproducing the original charts. Source attribution does not
imply City endorsement. The charts describe eight selected examples, not a
citywide ranking, investment recommendation or current sale-price estimate.

METHOD AND COVERAGE
The 2026 roll estimates July 1, 2025 values with December 31, 2025 condition.
Filter: residential assessment class RE; property type LI; sub-property uses
R110 and R111; positive assessed value; 2026 roll. The covered groups are the
208 named Residential communities in the City's boundary metadata with matching
records. Industrial/residual subareas are excluded. No addresses or parcel-level
records are distributed in this pack. Counts are assessment records, not an
independently deduplicated count of homes or a sample of completed sales.
Quantiles use linear interpolation at (n−1) × p (R7). The middle 50% is the
25th–75th percentile range, not a confidence interval. Land-area summaries use
positive recorded areas; valid construction years are after 1800 through 2026.
The CSV flag limited_sample identifies fewer than 25 records; this is a coverage
flag, not a confidence guarantee. Values may reflect classification, parcel
accounting and incomplete construction. A recorded lot area does not establish
usable outdoor space, title dimensions, setbacks or amenity rights.

EDITORIAL SELECTION
Bel-Aire, Britannia, Aspen Woods, West Springs, Lake Bonavista, McKenzie Lake,
Mahogany and Auburn Bay illustrate different distributions among existing guide
examples. This selection is not exhaustive, random or designed to infer a causal
neighbourhood premium. Charts preserve this order rather than a citywide ranking.

CSV UNITS
*_cad: Canadian dollars; *_m2: square metres; records: matching assessment rows.
q1/q3: 25th/75th percentiles; blank: unavailable; limited_sample: True/False.
The underlying City dataset can change. This package freezes the checked snapshot.
